This brochure, which is a supplement to the Document “CODEPEH Recommendations 2022”, proposes an action protocol with measures to improve the quality of Universal Newborn Hearing Screening programmes, providing practical recommendations based on scientific criteria on the techniques used and their correct application for an accurate confirmation of diagnosis – basic and novel aspects in case monitoring, as well as on information and support for families – protocols in force on data collection, processing and subsequent analysis and training of the personnel involved.
Designed as a flow chart, this action protocol provides all professionals concerned with a readily accessible information resource to support them in for their daily clinical application, before, during and after screening.
