The study analyses the evolution and development of spoken language over 15 years in a group of children detected and diagnosed early with prelocutive bilateral hearing loss as part of the Programme for the Early Detection of Infant Hearing Loss, who have benefited from early intervention. Among other findings, it indicates that, at the age of around seven, this group of children generally reached standard language ranges.
