FIAPAS brochure providing information on how to make a cultural space accessible for deaf people through subtitling and the magnetic loop

Cultural and leisure spaces and activities should be accessible for deaf people wearing hearing aids.

This brochure provides information on:

  • Hearing and oral communication support products, which are tools that empower deaf people and promote their active participation in the environment.
  • The magnetic loop, which is one of the technical resources that a theatre, a museum, a cinema, etc. and any space where a cultural and/or leisure activity takes place must have.
  • Signposting of adapted spaces: adapted spaces must be duly signposted, and it must be permanently indicated over all communication channels that this measure for accessibility to information and communication has been implemented.
